All wood and paints of this piece are original.  A composition of old white wood and ink-stained printing blocks.  The background wood is thinly painted, from an 1870's shelf unit, showing wonderful patina. The green block suggests a graphic element and the hot pink and orange inks add a few slashes of heat to the design.
