All wood and paints of this piece are original. A shadow box construction with glass cover over the lower section. The wooden box, a genuine Victorian antique with found papers and images, contains paper wrapped old wooden eggs, a tiny carved bird, a brass label, and a rusted crown. A wonderful uniformity of color and patina suggests this is an ancient found riddle or mystery.
