Box Of Rain All wood and paints of this piece are original. Box of Rain is a mystery and an enigma. It is a shadow box with a white, dirty exterior, a glass cover, and the inside has extremely crackled old shutter wood/paint. Under the skeleton of a Victorian child's umbrella is a rubber policeman (c 1930s) emerging from a nutmeg tin. The title is from a Grateful Dead song and relates to the umbrella and the box.
